Geneva, Switzerland—Vitafoods Europe and Finished Products Expo 2010 drew 2,100 visitors to the Geneva Palexpo center from May 18 to 20. The show featured some 500 international exhibitors from several industries, including nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals and functional foods/drinks.
The show, which is organized by Leatherhead Food Research, also featured pavilions such as those representing France, India, China, Korea, the Americas, WUSATA and AWEX.
Educational events included the Vitafoods Discussion Forum (focusing on EU Claims Regulation), VitaTrend (centering on nutraceutical and functional food trends), a Supplier Seminar Theatre and featured key speakers.
Show organizers also announced at Vitafoods 2010 that they will launch a new event, which will debut next year. Vitafoods Asia will take place September 7–9 in Hong Kong, China and is intended to attract a “completely pan-Asian visitor audience and global exhibitor base that is wholly dedicated to the nutraceuticals, functional foods, functional drinks, dietary supplements and nutricosmetics industries.” Additional information about the show is available at www.vitafoodsasia.com.
