The research involved 57 overweight individuals (BMI of 28.3 kg/m2) who took 400 mg of Meratrim twice daily or a placebo. Everyone was asked to walk for 20 minutes a day, five days a week for 30 minutes and to consume 2,000 kcal/day. Those in the Meratrim group lost 11.2 pounds, reduced their BMI by 1.9 kg/m2, cut their waist size by 3.9 inches and reduced their hip size by 4.1 inches. Meanwhile, the placebo group lost 2.4 pounds, reduced their BMI by 0.4 kg/m2, lost 1.5 inches around their waist and lost 2 inches on their hips.
