Fruit d’Or of Quebec, Canada, is in discussions with Rutgers University of New Brunswick, NJ to explore a cranberry-proanthocyanidin standardization program. The cranberry quality assurance program will create a higher standard of quality and science for cranberry ingredients. The proposed quality assurance program would ensure each lot is tested annually for PAC levels; the firm believes all cranberry health supplements should deliver at least 36 mg of bioactive PACs per day.
