Ankeny, IA—Industry supplier Embria (maker of immune health ingredient EpiCor) has released new data showing that cold and flu symptoms get in the way of intimacy in the bedroom.
In a survey of 500 adults, two-thirds say they don’t engage in sexual activity while they have a cold or the flu and 57% wait at least a day until symptoms subside to resume relations. About 35% say kissing is off limits and 37% won’t go out on a date while they are under the weather. Twenty-one percent would try to hide cold or flu symptoms so as not to turn off their sexual partner.
Given this negative impact on one’s quality of life, the company feels immune-support products are important for many aspects of wellness.
