Kerry’s research has found that there is a strong consumer desire for the removal of artificial ingredients in food and beverages; the market for consumer-friendly shelf life solutions is estimated at more than $1 billion globally, the release says, and is growing at twice the pace of the artificial preservatives market. However, the high demand creates its own problems—food safety becomes a challenge, and it can increase food waste. Kerry is looking to help food producers achieve fresh, safe, appealing, clean-label foods with its range of solutions.
