Chicago, IL, and Vancouver, BC—The Planting Hope Company has acquired RightRice from Betterer Foods in an all-cash $7m transaction, according to a press release.

RightRice is a shelf-stable product composed of 90% vegetables, including lentils, chickpeas, green peas, and rice, offering 10g of complete protein and 5g fiber per serving. The product is available in a range of flavors, including the 100% plant-based RightRice Risotto.

Several members of the RightRice team are expected to remain with the company, including RightRice’s Founder and CEO, Keith Belling.
