Northvale, NJ—GeeFree Foods, manufacturer of gluten-free products, announced that it has been acquired byThe Fillo Factory, which produces and distributes appetizers, small-bites, snacks, entrees and desserts. As GeeFree Foods' co-packer since its start, The Fillo Factory plans to grow the GeeFree brand by expanding the sales and brokerage team, creating more distribution channels, adding a new manufacturing plant, doubling down on social media efforts, and growing its product line.

The acquisition was made possible byProcida Funding, an organization with 25 years of investment experience. Through a three-year partnership with Procida Funding, GeeFree has penetrated nearly 5,000 retail outlets nationwide, created successful and lasting business relationships, and gained brand recognition from health-conscious consumers and social media influencers, the company said in a press release.

The Fillo Factory operates out of a 120,000 square foot factory in Northvale, NJ and a 25,000 square foot facility in Lakewood, NJ. Both plants are USDA inspected and carry a number of certifications including: QAI Organic, BRC for Food Safety, GFCO for gluten free, Non-GMO Project, Kof-K and Tablet K for Kosher.
