UNFI CFO Resigns


Providence, RI—United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) announced that Mike Zechmeister will resign from his position as Chief Financial Officer, effective August 23, 2019, to be temporarily replaced by John W. Howard while UNFI begins a search for a permanent replacement.

Howard joined UNFI in July as SVP of finance and accounting, and, according to a press release, has more than 20 years of experience leading finance teams in companies including Prime Therapeutics and Valspar Corporation.

Steven L. Spinner, chairman and CEO of UNFI, said: “I thank Mike for his contributions to UNFI over the past four years of significant growth and change.
