Salt Lake City, UT —Adam Ismail, the Executive Director of Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s (GOED), has decided to take a new position outside of GOED and will leave the organization effective Feb. 28.

Ismail released a statement to members today, part of which follows:

"My new role will still be within the omega-3 industry because I believe passionately in what we are doing to improve human health, and I am confident I will be leaving GOED in its strongest position ever in terms of capabilities and what we are able to do to help this industry, particularly with your support as members."

The board has begun searching for a new Executive Director and has created acomprehensive job listing. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply via LinkedIn.

Ismail further stated he felt it was time for him to move on.  "I have cherished my time at GOED, but after 11 years I felt like it was the right time to inject new energy and leadership into the organization and to embark on the next adventure of my own life. I cannot thank you enough for the trust you have placed in me to move this industry forward."

According to LinkedIn, Ismail primarily worked in the natural health and nutraceutical industries.  Prior to GOED, he was a Manager in Business Development for Cargill, Inc.

He holds an MBA from the University of Navarra’s IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain, and a BSBA from Boston University’s School of Management.
