Palm Harbor, FL—The Clorox Co. has purchased digestive health specialist Renew Life for $290 million.
Private equity firm Swander Pace Capital was Renew Life's partner before the Clorox acquisition and helped grow the brand into a top-selling probiotic brand in the natural sector, according to a press release.
“The Swander Pace team has been an incredible partner to help us reach new heights,” said Ron Fugate, Renew Life’s CEO. “Their guidance and operational expertise set us on a path for accelerated growth and allowed us to attract the interest of a new strategic partner with a tremendous track record in best-in-class consumer products.”
Clorox owns numerous mainstream brands like Pine Sol, Liquid Plumber, Glad, Brita and Tilex. Burt’s Bees is also owned by Clorox. Renew Life is said to have earned $115 in 2015.
