CANI Distributes Lifetime Achievement Awards

Clovis, CA—The Consultants Association for the Natural Products Industry (CANI) announced Lifetime Achievement award honors for four of its members, according to a press release.

The awards went to:

Rakesh M. Amin, Partner at Amin Talati Wasserman. Amin assists health and beauty companies with FDA compliance, advertising and Prop 65 compliance, trademarks, patents, copyrights, privacy/IT, and litigation. The press release says he is known for “his passion, results, friendships, and strong team.” He has offices in Chicago and Washington D.C., and sits on the CANI board of directors.

Robert Forbes, Founder and Managing Director of Robert Forbes and Associates. Forbes has been engaged in the Australian health and pharmaceutical industry since 1980, when he developed and introduced newly formulated complementary medicines and practitioner-only products. He has since switched his focus to consulting on compliance obligations facing the industry. His company helps businesses in the U.S. import products into Australia and New Zealand.

Kathy Francis, Head of Specialty Insurance Partners. Francis has been a member of the insurance industry for over 45 years. She specializes in dietary supplement, nutraceutical, and CBD/hemp industries insurance for manufacturing and retail organizations. Specialty Insurance Partners provides product liability, work compensation, property, clinical trials coverage, business auto, transit/cargo, stock throughput, and other coverages. She has served as CANI secretary since 2013.

Sheldon Baker, Consulting CEO for brand marketing firm Baker Dillon Group. Baker has more than 30 years of nutrition industry executive management experience. In that time, he has developed and directed a wide range of nutraceutical brand marketing, public relations, and promotional campaigns. He has created brands including CitriMax for InterHealth, Cognizin and Setria for Kyowa Hakko, and Cerebelle for DianaFood. Under his direction, Baker Dillon Group has received marketing communications awards from several organizations in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Baker was formerly CANI President until 2001, and now serves on the Board of Directors.
