The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) has promoted Amber Bennett to Vice President of Marketing and Engagement. Bennett joined as Director of Membership in July 2015, and will continue to oversee AHPA’s membership department while supervising education and communications and marketing. The company also promoted Rachel Haas, who joined AHPA in January 2020 as an administrative assistant, to Member Services Manager in August.

Enzymedica has appointed Julia Craven to Vice President of Education and Innovation. Craven will also lead the Enzymedica Scientific Advisory Board. With over 30 years of industry experience, Craven has held positions at Encompass Sales LLC, Pranarom USA, and Whole Foods Market.

Deerland Probiotics and Enzymes has hired Michelle Cook as the company’s VP of Sales for the Americas region. Cook brings more than 25 years of experience in the OTC pharmaceutical and dietary supplement industries. She will oversee Deerland’s team of business development managers. The company also has promoted Tod Burgess to VP of Product Development and Supply Chain.

Lief Labs has appointed Nathan Cox to the firm’s newly established role of Chief Business Officer. Cox has served as Lief’s VP Sales & Marketing for the past three years. Cox will lead Lief’s corporate expansion into new business areas, key industry partnerships, and venture investments with the formation of the Business Development Department.

The new Head of Innovation, Technology, and Clinical Research at Geocann will be Michael Davidson, M.D., who will focus on health solutions proven through clinical studies. Davidson has coordinated more than 1,000 clinical trials and published more than 250 articles for leading medical journals.

Greg Shearson is the new CEO of Cerebelly. He most recently served as CEO of Ancient Nutrition and has also worked as global executive for PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble.

The Specialty Food Association Board of Directors has appointed Bill Lynch president of the organization. Initially appointed interim president in May, Lynch has been with the SFA for more than 20 years, having previously served as Vice President of Engagement & Experience.

Alter Eco has appointed Mary-Ann Somers as the Independent Director of Alter Eco’s Board. Somers is the first woman to join Alter Eco’s Board, bringing over 30 years of consumer products and technology experience.

Dwight Duncan has joined the Board of Pure Extracts Technologies Corp. Duncan serves as Senior Strategic Advisor at McMillan LLP and as Principal of McMillan Vantage.

PCC Community Markets (PCC) has announced Suzanne Monford as President and CEO. Monford brings over 30 years of experience in the grocery and restaurant industries spanning from her experiences at The Kroger Company, H-E-B Central Market, and Andronico’s Community Markets. Monford also served as President of Quality Food Centers from 2017 to 2019, where she ran the division of 65 stores in Washington and Oregon.
