INFRA named Pat Sheridan as President and Chief Executive Officer. Sheridan brings nearly 30 years of business operations and finance leadership experience to INFRA, most recently serving as interim President and CEO and Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer. He has held leadership roles in finance, operations, and technology in professional services organizations as well as companies in the healthcare and organic grain milling industries.

Lycored has appointed Tammi Higgins as Food Division Senior Vice President. Responsible for the sales, marketing and development of Lycored’s portfolio, Higgins will lead the Food Division’s go-to-market programs as well as manage the global commercial food team operations. Previously, she worked in executive sales and marketing positions with FMC and KALSEC, Inc.

Nutrition21 has introduced Cara Cesario as Vice President of Manufacturing and Product Development. Cesario will work to optimize the production of Nutrition21’s branded ingredients, expand the use of new dosage forms, and bring new product innovations to the market. She is an author on 10 peer-reviewed publications and inventor of seven issued patents.

Enzymedica has welcomed Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz, M.D. to its Scientific Advisory Board. Gilberg-Lenz is board certified in integrative and holistic medicine, and has completed her clinical Ayurvedic Specialist degree at the California College of Ayurveda. She oversees and practices at the Women’s Care of Beverly Hills Medical Group.

The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) has promoted Holly Vogtman to Director, Communications; Rashidah Denton, to Manager, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs; and Gretchen Powers to Senior Director, Marketing & Member Experience. Vogtman, who joined CRN in 2016, will continue managing trade media and CRN’s annual survey. Denton, with CRN since 2018, will add running logistics for member groups, CRN’s Day of Science, and Senior Scientific Advisory Council (SSAC) events at CRN’s Annual Conference to her oversight. Powers’ role has expanded to reflect her leadership in shaping the experience of CRN members.

The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) has welcomed Erin Smith (Banyan Botanicals), Kyle Garner (Maty’s Healthy Products), Rachel Weiner (Meridian Trading Co.) and Staci Eisner (Cortex Scientific Botanicals) to its Board of Trustees. AHPA’s members also returned three incumbents for an additional 3-year term: Aaron Secrist (NOW Health Group, Inc.), Kristina Tucker (The Republic of Tea) and Marc Allen (Herb Pharm).

ChromaDex Corp has appointed David L. Katz, M.D., MPH, FACPM, FACP, FACLM, to its Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Katz, CEO of Diet ID, Inc, Founder and former Director of Yale University’s Yale-Griffin Prevention Research Center, and Past President of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, is an expert in nutrition, health promotion and the prevention of chronic disease through his work as a researcher, author and clinician.

Bill Capsalis has been appointed Executive Director of Naturally Boulder. Capsalis will oversee staff, finances, communications, programming and organizational strategy. He previously held the role of Board Chair of Naturally Boulder 2016 – 2018, Chief Executive Officer of Haystack Mountain Goat Dairy Inc. and advisor to numerous brands, including Terraseed, RoseBud Ice Cream, Ultimate Meal, and Brand Guide. Capsalis is also an Industry Advisor for the Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network and serves on the Advisory Board of Compass Natural.

Peter Paredes has joined Amin Talati Wasserman LLP as a partner and will be headquartered in the firm’s Chicago office. Paredes focuses his practice within the fields of biotechnology, medical devices, pharmaceutical, diagnostic systems, health-IT, and other industries in the chemical, software, and mechanical arts.

Synbiotic Health has announced Dr. Zac Lewis as its Chief Scientific Officer. Dr. Lewis will lead the build out and implementation of Synbiotic Health’s research and development program and serve as a liaison between company Scientific Founders and its commercial efforts. Previously, Dr. Lewis was an associate research fellow and microbiome subject matter expert with The Clorox Company working on the Renew Life brand.

Designer Protein has welcomed Katie Lacey and Lisa Donnelly to its Board of Directors. Lacey served as President and CEO of Crane Stationery, SVP of Marketing at ESPN, and started her career at PepsiCo. Donnelly is the VP eCommerce and Product at Bandier.

Open Book Extracts (OBX) has appointed Emmanuelle Schuler, Ph.D., MBA, and John Weatherspoon, Ph.D., JD, as strategic corporate advisors to support the development of an IP portfolio, including proprietary processes and formulations as well as molecular enhancements. Dr. Schuler will serve on the scientific advisory board and Dr. Weatherspoon will serve as intellectual property advisor.

VOKE has hired Scott Henderson as CEO. Henderson, the former President and COO of 5-Hour Energy from 2006-2014 came out of retirement to join the company as the company prepares for a rollout of the new product line nationally in 2021.

Herbalife Nutrition has announced Joe Miranda as its first Chief Digital Officer. He will work across 95 markets to devise and implement the company’s digital strategy.

Rodale Institute has welcomed Léa Vereecke and Nic Podoll as Organic Consultants.

IRI has appointed Kirk Perry as President, CEO and member of its Board of Directors, effective May 17, 2021. Mr. Perry succeeds Andrew Appel who will remain an Advisor to the Company and member of the Board of Directors. Perry joins IRI from Google, where he has served as President of Global Client & Agency Solutions since 2013.
