The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) announced the promotion of Andrea Wong, Ph.D., to Senior Vice President, Scientific and Regulatory Affairs. She will direct CRN’s scientific objectives. Working with CRN since 2013, Wong has advocated on behalf of the industry in response to FDA’s planned changes to the Supplement Facts label, helped members implement the changes, and helped develop CRN’s “Label Wise” consumer education campaign. “Dr. Wong has consistently played a strong leadership role at CRN and demonstrated commitment to the association and its member companies, dedication to the industry and expertise in scientific research and regulation,” said CRN’s President & CEO, Steve Mister. “She has led the association in its development of best practices guidelines for such things as protein, melatonin and probiotics, played an integral role in CRN’s response to the New York Attorney General DNA barcode testing episode in 2015, and advocated on behalf of industry on the implementation of the Supplement Facts label changes.”

The Hain Celestial Group, Inc., announced that Richard Beck and Michael Sims have joined Hain Celestial’s Board of Directors. Beck will also serve as a member of the Board’s Audit Committee and the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee; Sims will serve as a member of the Audit Committee and the Compensation Committee.

HP Ingredients announced the appointment of Bill Dunn as East Coast Sales Manager to coordinate and oversee the growth of the company’s customer base within the region.

Doron Safrai is the new CEO of Algatech. Safrai joins Algatech with a 20-year background in leading general managing, sales, marketing and business development roles.

Reed’s Inc. appointed John Bello as interim CEO, and Norman E. Snyder, Jr., as COO.

Bio-Botanica welcomed Kathleen A. Mone as Manager, Raw Material Sales, Nutraceutical/Supplements. Mone will manage all aspects of Bio-Botanica’s raw material sales in the nutraceutical and nutritional supplement division in U.S.

Justin Lambeth was named CEO of Treeline Cheese. He will lead the company’s specialty and mainstream consumer markets, as well as the strategy for expanding market share in the food service business.

Graminex L.L.C. appointed Alexander Grantz, Ph.D., to the position of Chief Scientific Officer. He will focus on developing the scientific understanding of Flower Pollen Extract products.
