New Hope, PA—The Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) has awarded the Ivan D. Combe Lifetime Achievement Award to longtime industry leader Scott Emerson, according to a press release. The annual award recognizes outstanding work and contributions of individuals whose actions have created a lasting impact on the people and the affairs of the consumer healthcare sector, and who have directly improved self-care for U.S. consumers.

With over 30 years of experience, Emerson has worked with consumer-packaged goods companies and has held senior management positions with Fortune 500 companies.

“Scott has made an enormous contribution, not just to CHPA, but to its members and the broader consumer healthcare space, as well,” said Scott Melville, President and CEO of CHPA, in the press release. “He’s passionate about making lasting connections between brands and consumers and is committed to mentoring and developing leaders for the future."

Emerson has served on CHPA's board of directors since 2006. As chair of the CHPA Membership Committee for the past seven years, he has worked to bring many new members forward, serving as an important catalyst to CHPA’s growth, the press release states.
