Virtual and Washington, D.C.—Industry associations have announced the 6thannual Dietary Supplement Regulatory Summit, which will take place July 13, 2021, in a hybrid format, allowing both virtual and in-person attendance.

The one-day industry-wide event is intended to cover the entire supply chain of the dietary supplement and ingredient industry, including manufacturers, marketers, retailers, testing labs, legal firms, and other service providers. The event will be presented by the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA), the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA), the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the Natural Products Association (NPA), and the United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA).

A press release on the topic looks to the future of the industry and states: “There exists a plethora of opportunities for growth, from the expanding markets in Asia to the rise in popularity with supplements for human, as well as animal consumption… As the dietary supplement industry enters the latter half of 2021, there are many growth opportunities in innovation, emerging sectors, and other market sectors such as new dietary ingredients.” To this end, the conference will provide updates on supplement regulatory and quality issues, offer in-depth discussions about FDA’s approach to regulatory implementation enforcement, and focus on advancing industry compliance with these regulations.
