Washington, D.C.—The sports nutrition speakers at the Natural Products Association’s (NPA) “The Big Natural” conference will be Nyree Dardarian, director of Drexel University’s Center for Nutrition and Performance, and Jonathan Scheiman, CEO of FitBiomics,according to a press release. The Big Natural will take place at the MGM National Harbor on September 11-12, coinciding with the 22ndAnnual Natural Products Day, NPA’s lobby event on Capital Hill, which takes place on September 10.

Nyree Dardarian is the sports nutritionist for the Philadelphia Flyers (NHL) and Philadelphia Union (Major League Soccer), serves as a sports dietitian delegate for Team USA, and works with professional squash players. The press release adds that she developed Dragon Gels,a high-carb snack used by the athletes Dardarian works with to maintain energy over the course of a game.

Jonathan Scheiman has served as a research fellow at the Wyss Institute at Harvard, the release says. He determined which bacteria are associated with peak performance and recovery, and developed probiotic ingredients that promote recovery and energy metabolism.
