Burlington, VT—Sunsoil, formerly known as Green Mountain CBD, announced in a press release that it planted its 2019 hemp crop on two times the acreage than in 2018. The company planted over 100,000 plants on 100 acres worth of USDA certified organic farms.

The company has also been certified by Vermont Organic Farmers as a certified organic processor, the release noted.

The release notes that Sunsoil’s products are lab tested three times during the production process by ISO-certified labs, and that each product has a QR code linked to product-specific batch testing. Sunsoil co-founder Jacob Goldstein, VP of agriculture, said in the release: “We are Vermont farmers who believe that everyone should have access to this powerful plant. It’s important to know your source, to ensure you are purchasing a high-quality CBD product.”
