Silver Spring, MD—AHPA has updated the onlineBotanical Safety Handbook 2nd editionto include new information for four additional botanicals, according to a press release.

Updated entries include:
  • Gotu kola was updated after a review identified additional clinical trial, case report, pharmacology, and toxicity studies;
  • Lemon balm was revised after new clinical trials, pharmacological studies, and toxicity studies were identified;
  • Passion flower was updated to include additional clinical trial, case report, animal pharmacology, and reproductive toxicity studies;
  • Bilberry was revised after a review of new clinical trials and pharmacological studies.
