Silver Spring, MD—AHPA has updated the online Botanical Safety Handbook 2nd edition to include new information for four additional botanicals, according to a press release.
Updated entries include:
- Gotu kola was updated after a review identified additional clinical trial, case report, pharmacology, and toxicity studies;
- Lemon balm was revised after new clinical trials, pharmacological studies, and toxicity studies were identified;
- Passion flower was updated to include additional clinical trial, case report, animal pharmacology, and reproductive toxicity studies;
- Bilberry was revised after a review of new clinical trials and pharmacological studies.
