Secaucus, NJ—Lycored is making its retro arcade game BetaBlasters! available to play online during Vitafoods Europe, October 4-8. The player who achieves the highest score will be awarded $5,000 for their favorite research charity.
Gamers play in the role of Captain Blake C. Trispora, named for the blakesea trispora fungus that produces Lycored’s beta-carotene products. He battles free radicals in a quest to defeat the evil Emperor Oxide, supported by allies including Lieutenant Lutina (lutein), Fight O’Fluene (phytofluene), and Lord Lycopene. Another ally, Master Xanthin, has been given new powers following the launch of LycoAsta, an astaxanthin oleoresin.
Zev Ziegler, Vice President of Brand & Marketing at Lycored, said: “We want people to have a great time playing BetaBlasters!, and with the prospect of an award for their favorite cause, there’s now extra inspiration to blast those free radicals. Keen players will notice that Master Xanthin has had a major power-up—a tribute to the latest addition to our astaxanthin range. Of course we’re looking forward to telling visitors more about LycoAsta and its benefits at Vitafoods Europe, where we’ll also be happy to share a few gaming tips!”
Lycored will be exhibiting at Booth G50. Players canregister to play here.
