Los Angeles, CA—Lawyers are filing a class action complaint against Mrs. Gooch’s Natural Food Markets, Inc., dba Whole Foods Market, alleging that the company failed to provide their employees with meal and rest breaks required by California law.

When employees work more than five hours, California law requires employers to provide employees with an uninterrupted 30 minute meal break before the fifth hour. The lawsuit alleges that not only did Mrs. Gooch’s fail to provide their employees with these breaks, they also failed to accurately calculate and record all missed meal and rest periods, and thus failed to pay all required compensation.
