In addition, according to the release, financial contributions include U.S. $1.32 million to the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund), and over $250,000 to the Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority. The PM CARES Fund focuses on combating, containment, and relief efforts against the COVID-19 outbreak and similar situations in the future. The release notes that money raised by the fund has supplied 50,000 ventilators, invested in vaccine development, and funded the care of migrant laborers.
