What’s New?

The Salt Lake City facility of Alix Technologies, a division of Pharmachem Laboratories, Inc., has been certified by the International Aloe Science Council (IASC) and approved to manufacture certified products meeting IASC’s standard. In addition, our division American Ingredients, Inc. announced it is the exclusive U.S. distributor for Pomanox™ natural pomegranate extract, developed by Probeltebio, located in Spain.

A biomass-to-energy system capable of consuming 10 tons of biomass per hour, and producing 30,000 pounds of steam per hour has been installed at our Avoca extraction facility in Merry Hill, NC. Costing approximately $6 million, it is one of the first such installations in the United States and the first installed on the East Coast.

In 2012, we acquired Improve USA, a fully integrated Aloe Vera manufacturing company with headquarters in DeSoto, TX, and three manufacturing facilities in Mexico. Having three separate facilities, and multiple farming operations under our control ensures a secure supply of Aloe Vera for our customers; also, it gives us the flexibility of bottling in Mexico, or at our Alix Technologies’ facility in Utah.
