Purchase, NY—PepsiCo announced in a press release that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire BFY Brands, maker of PopCorners snacks. After closing, BFY Brands will report to PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay North America division.

The addition will expand Frito-Lay’s snacking portfolio and allow it to offer consumers more positive nutritious options.

The PopCorners line, which includes Flex Protein Crisps and Flourish Veggie Crisps, is available in grocery stores nationwide.

Steven Williams, CEO of PepsiCo Foods North America, said in the release: “BFY Brands offers distinctive products that deliver the great taste and ingredients consumers are looking for. Their production capabilities will support the growth of our existing, more-nutritious snack brands.”

The transaction is subject to customary conditions and approvals.
