Kansas City, MO—American Shamanis observing National Self-Care Month while raising awareness for National Suicide Prevention Month in partnership withThe American Foundation for Suicide Prevention(AFSP), according to a press release.

American Shaman is donating a minimum of $30,000 in September to AFSP by matching contributions from franchisee store sales and individual online donations, the press release says. Through the month of September, the company is also funding a social media, web, and advertising outreach campaign using the hashtags #suicidepreventionawareness, #RealConvo, #KeepGoing and #selfcareseptember. The company also offers discounts for those in need, those who are low-income, and veterans, through their Compassionate Care Program.
