Manchester, UK—AAK has acquired a majority stake in Soya International, according to a press release, which will now trade under the name AAK Soya International Ltd.
The company supplies a range of lecithins, including specialty lecithin solutions developed for chocolate, confectionery, bakery, dairy, and infant nutrition applications.
There will be no change to current supply arrangements for existing customers, but the acquisition provides significant business opportunities. AAK Soya’s reach will expand further, thanks to AAK’s global sales network. AAK’s customers will have the opportunity to simplify operations by sourcing specialty lecithin ingredients and oils & fats from one supplier.
