Kennesaw, GA—Deerland Probiotics & Enzymes is expanding its list of GMP certifications with the addition of Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) Certification at its Kennesaw, GA facilities, according to a press release. TGA certification represents that Deerland has demonstrated GMP management practices and systems in compliance with the standards established by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.

The release notes that all of Deerland’s facilities have earned this certification, and the Denmark-based facility of Bifodan A/S has a mutual recognition agreement with Australia enabling it to produce TGA-certified products as well.

Hope Hanley, VP of Quality and Regulatory Affairs at Deerland, said in the release: “The TGA audits are on par with U.S. pharmaceutical audits. They perform a stringent evaluation of the manufacturing facility, engineering, cleanliness, SOPs, and Quality Systems to ensure product integrity.”
