Albert Baehny, Chairman of the Board of Directors, will be interim CEO until a permanent successor is found. Funk will stay until January 2020 to ensure a smooth handover.
Lonza also announced that Christoph Maeder has been appointed Lead Independent Director by the Board.

Maeder said in the release: “Albert has agreed to lead the Company on a temporary basis until a successor is in place, for which a search has commenced.
